Rose-tinted Spectacles

Unlike the reign of statement handbags and equally statement scarves, 2013 has thus far been the year of the swanky, statement sunglasses. Classic bug-eyed Jackie O’s and gold-rimmed Ray-Ban aviators can no longer quite cut it in this heatwave summer. If you don’t look like Dame Edna Everage or Japan’s Vogue editor Anna Dello Russo you had better go home. All eyes must be, well, on your eyes, and the crazier the shape, colour, texture, design the better.

The catwalks convinced us this was a look to try, and sunglasses being a relatively affordable, and particularly practical excuse to splash some dollar, we thought why not? Here’s a little spring/ summer 2013 inspiration for adventurous lenses…
