New Season Picks: Topshop, Urban Outfitters & Zara

Go-to fashion chains, Topshop, Urban Outfitters and Zara, are my unwavering favourite sartorial high street haunts. Here is my pick of their best new stock for Autumn/ Winter 2013/14…

Topshop is no stranger to new trends, and next season they have fashioned some very affordable and delectable ways to master them. Find leopard print, all shades of pink, Balenciaga-inspired cut-out footwear and camo print.

Urban Outfitters

The store ย of hipster heaven is less trend-led and more focused on creating quirky, individual, vintage-look pieces. These are classics that will last more than one season, particularly the gorgeous Vivienne Westwood bag. However new autumnal essentials velvet on shoes, sheer panels and checks are well-represented.

The Spanish fashion brand may be feeling a little sombre with its new offerings, but you cannot argue that they aren’t sharp and practical separates. As last week’s Sunday Times Style supplement observed, what doesn’t go with a green satin stiletto? Zara makes you realise that all you really need to look truly chic this autumn is a classic coat, slouchy navy v-neck and some motorbike leggings. Leopard who?
